Strategic Profit Planning For 2010

by Paul Cooley on February 6, 2010

web-content-mindmapHave I got some cool resources for you!

Maybe you have heard the saying before, “success is not an accident”

Well I find it interesting that many entrepreneurs seem to try to grow their business as if it is. This is no time to be playing Russian roulette with growing your business.

I don’t know about you, but when I travel I make sure I have a map to show me where I need to go. My wife enjoys giving me a hard time for how easy I get lost when driving. Let me just say GPS is a good thing! :)

My point to this is, when I travel I don’t just “wing it” and hope I am going to make it to my final destination. I plan it out. I plan out everything I need to take with me, I map out which highways and freeways I am going to need to take to get to where I need to go.

There is no shocking truth to that, but many of us as business owners just try to “wing it” instead of doing the logical thing… map it out! Business Growth needs more than the “wing it” mentality…

As we prepare for this new year, it is important to take the time and map things out, prioritize and take action.
So often we can get so caught up in the new coolest thing or stay disctracted by checking our emails, Twitter and Facebook messages, that we never truly accomplish the tasks that need to be done for true business growth.

In the different webinar trainings I have been doing lately, I have been really stressing the fact how important it is to know the purpose of your business and what you want out of your business.

By knowing the purpose of your business and knowing what you want out of your business, this will keep you on track and not get distracted with things that have nothing to do with your purpose.

Once you do know what your destination is, it’s important to map out that steps that you need to take to get to your destination. ..

I have some very cool resources for you today to help you stay productive, focused and on the right track.

The first set of resources is by Melissa Ingold from InternetMarketingSweetie.com. Melissa has made available some awesome planning material to help you map out different tasks you need to stay on top of. From affiliate management and blog posts, to planning goals and writing articles. So check out her page where you can download these 2010 planning resources.

Now, I have made a PDF for you to help you map out the steps you need to do to get from A to Z. Yes, this is basic and there is some thinking involved, but once you have figured out the steps that you need to stay focused on, your business will grow much faster. Click here to download PDF

I have also included on this page, a video that I have taken from my Founder’s Circle Training.

Plus, I wanted to give you one more things…

The following is a recording from a series I did a while back called the Home Entrepreneur’s Guide.

I hope you enjoy! :)

Click Here to Download (will play in Windows Media Player)

I would love to hear about any resources you have or problems you face when planning to grow your business. So please feel free to leave a comment below.

I wish you the best of success in 2010!

Great post Paul.

I’m sure the PDF and audio resource will be helpful. I’m finding that a lot of people are going out there shooting in the dark, not planning a strategic planned out action guide to implement for their business.

Guess it just goes to show who the hobbyists are and who the real business owners and entrepreneurs are.

Great post and thanks

Thanks Bob! I hope you enjoy all the resources. :)

Yeah, it’s sad to see so many people “try” to build their business with no plan at all. It’s a bummer!

If you enjoyed the resources, keep an eye out on my other blog for more that are coming soon. :) http://www.surefirebusinessstrategies.com/blog/

Take care!
