Making Money With Wordpress Blogs

This is exactly what I have done and continuing to do with a few different Wordpress blogs I have in different Niches.

First off, if you don’t have an understanding of what Micro Continuity is, I recommend checking out a Free 50 minute video that explains it very well.

So here is what I have done…

As some of you know I have a membership site called Possessing Your Land, which is directed towards Christian Entrepreneurs. The membership platform I was using I never really liked. Plus, one of the biggest problems with a traditional membership site is, a person can sign up for their free trial and have access to everything that a paying member has paid for over the last six months! Plus, that new member can come in, download everything and then cancel their membership before they ever get billed… Not good for you!

This is why the Micro Continuity model is so attractive. Plus, once the product is done, it’s done. You don’t have to “babysit” it like most need to with traditional membership sites.

Setting something like this up is pretty easy and a LOT less money than what I was paying for my membership platform. I was paying a monthly fee with my old one and with what I am currently using, it was a small onetime fee. Cool deal! :)

What I am using now is a Wordpress plugin called DAP or Digital Access Pass. This thing does so much, it’s awesome!
Dap allows you to “drip” content which basically means, you can set different blog posts, downloads, videos and podcasts to be time released. So when a member signs up they only have access to the content that you have allowed them, then 7 days later they get access to more content. It also allows people to “pay per download” if you choose to set things up that way. There is much more Dap does, but I’ll let you check that out for yourself.

So what I have done is taken content from a traditional Membership Site and condensed it into bite size amounts for six months. I have also chosen to make 3 levels of membership with three different price entries.

Using this kind of structure is extremely smart… Think about it…

Are you selling an eBook that you are produced? How much are you selling that eBook for?

Let’s say you are selling an eBook for $27.00. Now that is a one time fee, but what if you broke down your eBook into a course and charged $17 or $27.00 a month for 3 months… You just tripled your income! Instead of a one time $27.00 you can now turn that same amount of content for $81.00!! How cool is that!?

One of the coolest things about using the Micro Continuity model is, you don’t have to have a completed product, you just need to have one lesson done and you can start taking orders! Then you have the next 7 days to complete lesson two!

Now you could do all of this with just an auto responder, but using this model in combination with a Wordpress blog, you can easily add podcasts and videos to your blog posts. Plus you can have interaction with your members as they leave comments. Some people also like the feeling of “belonging” to something when they login to a site, rather than just receiving an email.

Lastly, it is very easy to promote the next level of membership to your members once they have completed a course.

I can’t begin to describe how much I love this marketing model. I highly recommend looking more into it and checking out this Free Video to learn more.

Please let me know what you think about this Micro Continuity Model and leave me a comment with any thoughts or questions. :)

Keep moving forward!

How are you liking DAP now that you’ve had several months to live with it? I’m using Wishlist Member and two things it seriously lacks is the content drip (they do “sequential memberships” but it’s not the same) and integration with aweber. Oh, it integrates on one level (like when a visitor becomes a subscrber, he also is added to your aweber list), but it doesn’t in one important aspect:

Content drip (which it doesn’t have) and aweber should work hand-in-hand.

Curious to know how you like DAP now and how it might measure up against WLM.
