There has been a LOT of talk lately about creating info products and I mean a lot of talk, in fact later today there is a huge call with the Stompernet guys and Eben Pagen talking all about creating info products. With all the talk I have been hearing on how to create an ebook and all the people I have heard saying they are working on one, I hear very few say they have completed an ebook. So why is that?…
I found myself the same place, I had many “almost finished” ebooks, but hadn’t launched one. We I started to see this patern in myself and many others, it motivated me to do the Home Entrepreneur’s Guide Series where we dealt with time management and remaining productive. It’s so very easy to get pumped about a new project or idea and lose site of your current project. Well, that needs to STOP!
It’s really not impressive to have a bunch of almost finished ebooks on your harddrive. It’s impressive when you have launched your ebooks!
So what are we supposed to do to make sure we finish our ebook? How do we remain focused from the start to the finish of our info product?
Well, I always remember something Jimmy D. Brown said he does…
He said everytime he would get a new idea, he would write it down in his notepad and then put it away. He wouldn’t looks at his notepad again until his current project was complete. I remember him saying that it was almost two years from having the idea of Membernaire to starting it! He refused to get distracted with it.
With all the distractions that are thrown at us online and offline, we must make a choice to stay laser focused on that info product or whatever project you are doing until it’s complete.
In the next post, I will be giving you run down of what your options are when creating an info product from start to finish.
Keep staying focused!
