Successful Entrepreneurs – Part One

by Paul Cooley on May 20, 2009

What makes a Successful Entrepreneur? As I have been busy preparring for this live Virtual Entreprenership Workshop in June, I really wanted to make it a point to find Successful Internet Entrepreneurs that would bring value to those who attended this workshop. I started thinking about the guest speakers and what has made them successful online…

So what I am going to be doing is, writing a blog post each day about each of our guest speakers and what I see that makes them successful. This could be risky! :)

coach_debThis should be fun though and I look forward to hearing what you have to say about each of my guest speakers too! :)

I figured I would start with someone whom all of you should know if you have spent any amount of time on twitter. Her name is Coach Deb from Tribal Seduction. I origanally heard about Coach Deb through Twitter. I remember back when Twitter first started and there was a circle of Internet Marketers that you could always count on being on Twitter, like Lynn Terry, Carrie Wilkerson and Coach Deb. Eventhough, Twitter has grown leaps and bounds since then, I still see Coach Deb Tweeting away. :)

So what has made Coach Deb successful online? It could be the book her and her husband JP Micek have written titled “Secrets To Online Persuasion”, or it could be the “Twitter Handbook” she co-authored, or maybe the cool look  and content to the Tribal Seduction site….

It could be one or all of the above, but there are still a few things that I have seen that makes Coach Deb stand out from many…

Coach Deb has not gone at Social Media Marketing the same way many do. There are many out there using Social Media to grow their business, but unlike many of those people, Coach Deb has made it a point to not just build a following of people who dont pay any attention to her Tweets, she has made it a point to build a tribe…. a loyal following. Something that I noticed right off the bat was, she is not stuck up and impossible to get a hold of. You don’t have to be “guru” statis for her to respond back to your Tweets, email, Facebook, etc. I don’t think there has ever been a time where she hasn’t gotten back to me. Unfortanatly, I can’t say that about everyone… I believe that is one of the reason she has stood out from the crowd so well.

I would say it’s a combination of making herself availible, being real and offering value to her follows, clients, readers, etc. Those qualities are a great combination for success and a great example to follow.

Now Coach Deb has also done a great job usine other social media tools out there to create a tribe. I have already mentioned Twitter, but she also has a weekly TV show on Ustream. This is extrememly smart way to not only connect and get herself out there, but an awesome way to get new clients.

I look forward to talking with Coach Deb about her methods of building a loyal tribe at the Entrepreneurship Workshop in June.

I highly recommend taking a look at the how Coach Deb has been successful online.

Make it a point to be:

- Available

- Genuine.

- Offer value and real content.

- Help others.

- Use Social Media the right way.

So thank you Coach Deb for being a great example of how to be real and build a true tribe online! Keep up the great work! :)

I look forward to talking with you at the workshop!

See you all there!

awwww! from the bottom of my heart Paul, Thank you sincerely for all the wonderful things you shared in this post!

You not only have me blushing, you have me beaming – the type of beaming that has your heart full when people really “get you” and see your real purpose.

I think I’ll come back here anytime I’m having a bad day, just to remember that I am making a difference & people see it…

Guess I’ll HAVE to make time for your series now eh? Such an influencer you are! :+) Effective! I’m impressed!
