Google’s Social Media Slap

by Paul Cooley on February 14, 2009

slapWell you have heard of being “Google Slapped” before, now Google is up to something else. It’s the Social Media slap

If you are using different Social Media sites to link to your site for page ranking as your primary SOE tactic, you better come up with some new ideas. Google is now slapping those who are using sites like Youtube to do your link building, Google has had enough. If you are using this method, you will now not get ranked as quickly or as highly.

Google is now focusing and looking very closely on unique content. I would highly recommend if you’re not already, start working on other SEO techniques. And something that Mechelle MacPhearson mentions in the following video is, Focus on your primary domain name, don’t focus on trying to get your Squidoo page ranked higher, because when Google decides to slap, you are in trouble! So stay focused on your own domain. Will be we talking more about this topic in today’s Radio Show, so feel free to join us LIVE at 12:30 PST

We will be going into more detail on the show and in future blog posts, plus be the first to discover how to conquer the Social Media Slap Here.

So as you move forward, don’t get slapped! :)
