Collecting Testimonials with Twitter

by Paul Cooley on April 20, 2009

twitter-2With all the teachings and training that is out there about Twitter, I have never heard anyone teach maximizing the use of Twitter to collect testimonials. Think about it, as you are socializing on Twitter, has anyone ever said anything nice about you, your blog or a product you just launched? It’s easy for those priceless testimonials to drift off into the Twitterverse. I started something a while back, whenever someone tweeted something about me, I would save it to my favorites.

Well, I thought I would take it a step further and use those tweets for a testimony page. You can check out my Twitter Testimonies here.

tweetimonialThis brings us to the question… “what if no one has said anything nice about me yet?” My thoughts would be to get yourself out there and be genuine, don’t try to get people to say nice things about you. Just go out of add value to others and your Industry. The rest will happen on it’s own.

As you can see from my page, I copied and pasted the Tweets and put them on a sticky note graphic, so you can get creative and give it your own look.

If you are about to launch a new product, let’s say an ebook…

You can do a special give a way to your Twitter followers for a limited time in exchange for a Tweet about your product. Then you can slap that testimonial or what we could call a  Tweetimonial on your sales page. :)

Hope that helps!
Keep moving forward!
